This is a good storage bench. The larger area has an adjustable optional shelf. The cushion is soft enough for extra seating but firm enough to be sturdy. I was able to put it together myself, but it was frustrating at times. Many of the holes aren’t drilled properly, making it hard to screw in things. The two doors for the larger part aren’t close enough, so you can see a space. The thing to lift up the cushion was especially difficult to screw in. Love this bench! It was quite an ordeal to put together but it finally all fit the way it was intended. I would however have put the handles and drawer pulls on before hanging the doors or building the drawers. I am disappointed in the cushion as it is very hard and the off-white is not that pretty with the white wood. The cushion cover is not very snug either. I plan to make a new cover to match my furnishings, so that will solve that problem. They say this product is solid wood when it definitely is not. It is made of cheap particle board. The parts were numbered incorrectly. It says that it is for shoe storage but can only fit one pair of small shoes per drawer. It says that it seats two but it definitely cannot support the weight.
