There is a vent on the floor in my entry and because of the wood slats in the shelves I was able to set it over the vent without blocking the airflow. What a cute little foot stool for my entry-way!!!! We installed the Wall Cabinet (that we also got from Wayfair during Cyber Monday Deals) a little higher on the wall so that the foot stool fits underneath and is still functional (to put on your shoes) .
