Pediments are the portion of the trim that is located above the pilasters, which are the column like frames on the sides of windows and doors. Directly below the pediments though, between the pediment and the pilasters, is a crosshead or breast board. The crosshead is the flatter, protruding section directly above the door. Pediments can be purchased by themselves or can come with a crosshead already attached. These Pediments are manufactured out of a high-density urethane, which is made to resemble wood without the maintenance required by wood products. Urethane products are resistant to cracking, splitting and rotting. They are usually less expensive than wood alternatives.

It's almost perfect for where I put it. I have a very high (~12') octagonal window in my bedroom, and it's impossible to find a shade that's right for it. But the sun shines in that window right in my eyes and wakes me up at 6am every morning, so I wanted to cover that window without making it look ridiculous. I have white plantation shutters on the lower windows, so it looks nice with those. The reason I didn't give it a higher rating is because there was a choice between "functional" and "non-functional" versions of this cover, but the terms weren't defined. I assumed they meant that functional has moving slats, and non-functional was slats that don't move. So I ordered the functional version to be sure I could close them all the way But what they meant was that functional has holes between the slats (for allowing airflow in an attic, I guess), and non-functional is solid - no holes. I should have gotten the non-functional version, because it would have blocked all the light. But I couldn't wait another day to get rid of that early morning light, so I just installed it right away and started getting the benefit of blocked light in the morning. It's much better, but I might someday replace it with the non-functional version.. Cheryl. Redwood City, CA. Tue May 09 2023

This handmade and hand painted wall decor window mixes solid wood, handmade construction, great design and distressed antiqued tones. It's arched design is perfect for any wall or above a door. It's uniqueness is that each one is handmade and will be each one of a kind, with varying degrees of distressed colors.

I like the simplicity of this arch. It’s solid wood with a slightly weathered look. I hung it inside above my front door with a rustic wooden crucifix added to it.. Elizabeth. Palm Desert, CA. Sat May 30 2026

Signature Urethane is a groundbreaking progression in the world of architectural millwork. Molded urethane products have dominated the landscape for their beauty, crisp detail, longevity, and ease of access, but the introduction of specific sizes and styles proved challenging as a new mold would have to be made every time. The introduction of the Signature Urethane line of products takes all of those tried and true benefits of urethane, and frees it from the mold, meaning you have access to sizes and styles, and even fully customized designs, at an unprecedented level. These items are fully made to the order, using a combination of modern building techniques, and good old fashioned hand craftsmanship, to ensure your corbel, bracket, pilaster, pediment, gable vent or any other piece your project requires comes in exactly as you need it.

Was surprised how perfect the fit was for the window I ordered it for. Painted easily and now it looks excellent over my front door.. Tom. Fri Jan 17 2025

1. Trap Dirt and Moisture: Made of premium polypropylene with extremely dense, stain-resistant yarns that quickly scrape dirt off shoes, keeping floors clean and dry. Special mixed colors design helps conceal dirt.

I bought this for my entry way which is a round rotunda area. It's a very nice rug with a nice nonslip backing so that it stays put and does not move. The color is nice and the material is dense and quality.. Elizabeth. CA. Sat May 16 2026

These hand crafted architectural windows are a popular item, great indoors or out. Remember that these are all handmade and will be one of a kind. The photo is a representation of what you will get, but very, very similar. They are handmade out of wood and painted in different layers of whitewashed tones. If you place them outside, I suggest you seal them with a clear polyurethane sealer.
