The depth is a bit small with the sliding door, so once the closet is full of clothing, I have to push the clothing in to smoothly close the door and for it to remain shut. Overall we really like this armoire. The mirror door can be a little tricky at times to open. But it gives a good amount of storage for our bedroom without a closet. Very nice hall bench with storage, pretty much what we needed. However, it was a BEAR to put together (and my husband is super good at putting things together). It took all day, there were a bajillion parts, screws, etc. and the instructions weren't necessarily in order of what goes next. I like how it looks and functions but wish the area up top was deeper for baskets (of hats and gloves). Maybe if the whole thing was deeper, the bench is shallow. It’s nice! More for a kids room short like others mentioned. The photo with the side table is misleading as I thought both pieces were together. I had to order a side table hoping the color matches. It did take longer to build a lot of parts and pieces. To add the doors you need two people one for holding the other for screwing as the door needs to be leveled.. Erika. Indianapolis.
