I recieved my cedar chest and took one look at the box and was afraid to open. But all i saw was a dent on the top of the front. With that i went ahead and put together. No big problems. Just follow directions. It had to have been wrapped for shipment very well to have just sustained only that damage. The whole thing is not made by using 100% solid cedar or price would be much higher. But i wanted to store blankets i crochet and wollen sweaters and things of that. Cedar helps to keep bugs that love wool away. I had a beautiful light blue sweather that wasnt stored in cedar and i regretted because moth got to it and ate hole right in front. So after putting together just rubbed a little original cedarcide inside. I went on and notified wayfair about the picture of torn up box and picture of dent. Was contacted right then. Talk about fast. He asked for email and order number so he could see what the problem was. I didnt want new one just a few parts that were broken in bag and 1 missig. Great person to talk to. I ordered this toy box in the green color. It’s more of a sage green, and not as vibrant as the green advertised. In some lighting, it even looks gray. At first, I thought I had been sent the wrong color. Customer service was very responsive and helpful, and sent another to correct the color issue, however the new box is the exact same color. The box was easy to assemble and seems sturdy. It holds a decent amount of toys for the size! It had a weird, slightly unpleasant smell for the first week or so but it seems to have disappeared!. Great chest for what I needed. It's attractive and I chose the stained brown which matches my other bedroom furniture. It's a nice size and for me held about 3 quilts, one blanket, and a couple of shams if you roll or fold right. Pretty roomy for the size regardless but fairly compact for smaller spaces. Easy to put together. The hinge is nice because it holds the lid open and prevents it from slamming down. Sturdy construction and parts do not feel cheap so for the price this is very good.
