I love it! I wanted a more modern and open bookshelf with storage, and my furniture taste has shifted to mid-century. This piece is excellent for my purpose and hides the "junky" stuff easily in the closed cabinet. Assembly was actually quite easy - even for a 71 year old! My only "change" to the provided instructions is attaching the shelves; it is much easier to lay the piece on it's back and screw in the 6 screws per shelf than it is to stand on your head and do it upside down!
