If you have a boy with sports gear, school stuff, shoes, backpacks, uniforms, and approximately 4,000 random things that somehow never have a home—get the lockers. These are great! I wanted something that could contain the chaos while still looking good in a bedroom, and these absolutely work. The black metal gives them a cool, industrial look that feels much more grown-up than typical kids’ storage. Most importantly, they are ROOMY. Each locker has plenty of vertical space, an upper shelf, and hooks inside, so there are actually designated places for clothes, uniforms, bags, and equipment. I especially like having three separate compartments because everything can be divided instead of becoming one giant pile. The ventilation slots are also a smart feature—especially when you’re dealing with sports equipment. Enough said. They feel sturdy once assembled, the recessed handles look nice, and the doors give you the greatest gift of all you can close them and no longer see the mess. I had hopes for this being at most acceptable/usable at this price. The sheet metal used in the panels, doors and shelves is too thin to survive anything but the most delicate shipping. Clearly a cheaply made product designed to be throw-away. The panels actually become deformed and dented from simply handling with just a small amount of pressure. Great lockers, terrible shipping. All 3 lockers came bent around door frames, making it hard to shut and lock properly. I was able to straighten those out so they work properly. Also had metal bends around the base of each locker that I was also able to hammer out. Again, fantastic lockers but Wayfair needs to provide better shipping on their merchandise.. Karen Carter. Salsbury 62000 series 12-inch wide double-tier standard metal lockers are constructed of 16 gauge steel. The lockers are available for colleges, high schools, locker rooms, government agencies, and many other applications.

It's nice and tall. It's relatively sturdy (solid in that its metal and should maintain its durability once it's assembled). Metal is not super heavy which helps with assembling it and getting it into place but metal can easily bend/dent if not handled carefully. Don't kneel or stand on it when trying to assemble it (that's really hard to do because accessing holes is challenging). Or if you do, try to put a pillow down or something before you step/kneel on a piece of the metal. That will minimize the potential of denting it. The set up is "easy" in that it instructions are pretty straight forward. However, accessing holes and placing the tiny bolts and nuts together while trying not to dent the metal is finicky. There are a LOT of nuts and bolts!! Lots of patience and persistence helps get you through this set up. We did not but all the hooks up because it was not necessary and helped cut down on the need to thread more nuts and bolts. You will need a ratchet type tool to tighten nuts and an extender to get at the many challenging areas. I'm not at all an expert or handy with assembling things so it took me over 4 hours.. Sharon.
