Assembly wasn't to difficult, but did take about 4 hours to put it together by myself. Hardest part was getting the bed slats that go under the mattress to line up with both sides of the frame to go into the holes, but once you figure it out it's smooth sailing. Overall, very solid and sturdy. Stairs are a nice touch over a ladder and the little shelf cubbies make a good place for small stuff. The space underneath is a perfect fit for a 78" couch. This is NOT an off brand adjustable bed frame, it’s made by Mlily who make quality bed frames. It uses two whisper quiet lift motors, a name brand controller module, four earth shaking vibration motors and a heavy duty frame. We purchased two king bed frames and both had FOUR position legs(3” each) and a LIGHTED remote control(see images). You will easily pay twice the price for a comparable bed frame anywhere else with the same features. My wife and I(58 and 60yo) were able to separate the two king bed frame sections at the three hinge points with a metric ratchet and wrench and unplug three quick disconnects in order to half the weight to 100lbs each and bring them up a flight of stairs, then reconnect everything on the second floor, this process saved our backs and cost us an extra fifteen minutes tops. Installation was super simple and the remote was already paired to the frame. This is exactly what we were looking for and it arrived promptly. The box itself was damaged at both ends and that made it unwieldy to move it safely (it is very heavy!) but that was clearly weight to great for the construction of the packaging. They probably get damage claims because the box is insufficient protection for the weight of the metal. Moving on to assembly, it was straightforward to assemble following the instructions provided, and the lighting is a super bonus for us, but the product loses a star because Two of the long bolts and one of the short support pieces was missing from the box and so we cannot install those important supports. Not sure if we will move forward with use of the product without them, but as far as assembly and aesthetics, it is really good. Although we received it as part of a promotion, for the price currently advertised, we believe it is a good value (providing all the pieces are included and you can ensure the stability and safety in use.). Once put together, the bed frame is great and exactly what we wanted. The loss of a star has to do with shipment (the bed came in 2 boxes and they arrived 3 days apart) and difficulty to assemble. Frame is a bit more wobbly than expected but it may also be due to size of my teenager.
