This is a big upgrade from our previous glass cooktop. All of the knobs (previous model) are now touch screen, so much easier to clean around, maintain, etc. The downdraft is also a lot easier to maintain with a basket to catch anything that falls. Used this today for the first time. I never used one before. Takes getting use to but works great. Cooked my sons burgers well. You must center the pan on the unit first, otherwise it will display a u like symbol and turn off. So make sure magnetic pan is on the unit and then power on. Also I love the H it displays when cooling off to let you know the unit is still Hot. I purchased out of laziness. Tired of cleaning the entire stove just to make burgers or whatever...lol. its easier to wipe down the counter and clean the unit. The cooktop works great, but I wanted induction. When I searched products by using the filters, this electric one was in the list. My fault for not double checking before I bought. The electric cooktop works great and heats food very quickly, but the surface is extremely hot, which is dangerously close to where my grandchildren sit at the counter. You will love the multiple sizes you can choose for the size pot or pan. It boils water fairly quickly. I like that you have to long press the buttons to turn on the elements so children wouldn’t accidentally turn on an element. I have been using this for a couple of months now, I am so impressed. I can boil water so fast. Food cooks fast and effecient. I do have to use it on a lower setting than I am use to because it heats so even and fast. Like med heat is a setting of 3-4, in stead of other stoves where it's like 6-7.
