The US Stove US1100E-L is a beautiful air tight plate steel wood burning stove with black wood handle door in a black finish. The US1100E-L stove comes with elegant legs base and can heat up to 1,200 sq. ft. with 68,000 BTUs.? A smooth arch door with air washed ceramic glass allows a magnificent view of the burning fire that will enhance any hearth setting. How it works: the primary air inlet at the front of the stove ignites the wood upon start up. Once burning, the secondary air inlet at the rear of the firebox feeds air to the top of the stove through three (3) ignition tubes directly above the wood. The result is that you have ignition, or fire, at the bottom and at the top of the wood stove which, in effect, consumes the wood. This is a very efficient method of getting the most energy possible out of the wood that you are burning. This stove meets the stringent requirements of the EPA certification guidelines.? The US1100E-L replaces the previous Defender wood stove.

I bought this stove 2 years ago and it heats throughout my entire home (1,240 sqft). Ash drawer doesn't catch anything and I also had to modify the bottom choke. Well worth the money. I LOVE this electric faux fireplace. Im still working on my tile surround, but the 24 gray fireplace fits perfectly. Ill have to build something to hide the cord as I finish the faux mantlesurround. The flame and embers have multiple separate settings, i.e., speed, color, and dimmer. The heater is also controlled by the remote. When the heater is on, the bar at the top glows [see 2nd photo], which is good, so you know the heat is on. Plus, there is a timer accessed by the remote for up to several hours. I actually cant think of anything else you could ask for. I was worried that the case would be shiny, and it is, but that is not a negative. It will make it easy to dust.
