heats up using the minimum water level, when heating water for a cup of hot tea. I was using a Pyrex glass measuring cup to heat one cup of water in the mornings in my microwave and it would take almost 5 minutes to begin boiling. I like my hot water fairy hot so really excited that now it takes a minute to two minutes at the most. This was a great purchase and priced very reasonable. Beautiful electric kettle. Very rustic looking, so if you have a rusticcountry decor at home this will go perfect. The size is just right, not too big or too small. this electric kettle is perfect. the color is very soft and pretty. it shows the temperature with a thermometer on the side so you can measure, and it also shows the water level through a measurement on the vj under the handle. it automatically shuts off when water reaches boiling point. it is very simple but also extremely functional and pretty.. Introducing Chantal’s newest Electric Kettle!  The Vincent temperature-control electric Kettle with stainless steel interior is safe, fast and easy to use.  Intuitive digital temperature controls are built right into the stay-cool handle for ease of access and use.  The control pad allows you to select the temperature you want to reach (with a default of boiling) by adjusting with 5 degree increments.  If you’re a tea aficionado you may only want to bring your water to 175 degrees for your favorite green tea, or 195 degrees for Oolong.   Our kettle lets you know when it has reached your selected temperature with 2 beeps.  You can keep the water at your desired temperature, with the Keep Warm feature, for up to an hour before the kettle automatically shuts off (Keep Warm range is 100-195 degrees)  The BPA-free window allows you to see how much water is left in the kettle, without having to look inside, and designates max and min water levels.  Remove the kettle from the detachable base and carry anywhere free from a cord.
