I really like that it has five brightness settings for the flames as well as five speed settings for the flames they don't look fake and I didn't want one that had multiple colors because natural flame color is fine for me. This did not turn out to be what we need We have a very similar smaller unit that has the option of being installed in a recessed openingmantle OR just mounted on the wall.
