Tough review to write. It was a lot of work to assemble. Many hours. I had to buy extra chicken wire and zip ties. But I think it's great. In the yard, I could have staked it, but on the deck, I'm using landscape bricks at the four corners - my patio table with an umbrella has blown away in high winds. But the roof is easy to remove if I know strong winds are coming. I think it's plenty sturdy, it should last years compared to the cat tents we've gone through. We bought this Cat Enclosure because we can not let our cats roam around outside where we live. It took a while to get this cat enclosure assembled but the directions were pretty clear and almost all the parts were labeled. The parts that were not labeled were pretty easy to figure out what they were. There were many different sizes of bolts and screws but all the bolts used the same locking nuts. The assembly job would have been a lot easier if two people were to do it and I would definitely recommend doing the assembly with two people. Well see how they like being in it. It looks nice and is perfect for what I need! But the screws for the box need to be longer. I had two come out within minutes of putting them in. We love this catio! We use it for an out door enclosure for rehabbing opossums. We added a lot of branches for climbing, and the metal wiring is the perfect size to keep raccoons out and opossums in. The nest boxes are great too! We’re extremely happy with the purchase and the opossums are too! There’s a small door on the bottom which works great for soft release is on your property. Overall, easy enough to put together but it will take an hour or two because it’s tedious. We built it with 3 panels by 3 panels instead of 3 panels by 4 panels. We also put the doors where we wanted them for our placement. It wasn’t a super complicated change. TIP If you might need to get in part way to grab your cat think about stacking doors. together. The hardest part is getting the pieces all the way clicked in but the hammer they provide really does help. If you have bad arthritis or something get a friend to help. The picture directions are not the most clear but the directions are not too complicated. Overall suggestions Build the first layer as instructed. Then start with cat landing walls and one more wall ( build 3 sides) so you can get inside it to build the inner parts but still have an easy exit ( if you can easily leave out of the cat doors you could build it level by level). Then put the roof together and attach it to the top. Finally zip tie everything into place. The ladders would be more for a kitten or a small cat as a bigger cat should be able to leap from level to level. I chose to omit them because my cats can make the transition between levels just fine. This far I’m happy with it but I’ll update if I run into any wear and tear issues quickly.. Brigitte. Good size for our 2 cats. Wood is very lightweight but it does sturdy up when attached to the house. I did paint all wood parts with our house color and painted the wire black to make it more see through. Added a door handle/knob too. It’s cuter and blends in much better with these touches. It works for our one kitty but would likely be too small for more than one, unless they're kittens. Its quality and durability are as expected for the price. I don't think I'd buy 2 and join them together. If I wanted a bigger enclosure, I'd just buy something else.
