It's lovely material, but the install was initially pretty (conceptually) tough. Screwed up with the adhesive and had to order another piece of this. The main thing that saved the final install was using a (cordless) nailer, which made it a lot easier. If you don't have one, recommend to borrow one from a friend (hopefully you already have one). If you don't use a nailer, try to find the least obtrusive finish nails / use a precision finish tool (not sure what it is called but it's a little thing you use with a hammer to push the nail heads deeper, but not so that you dent the moulding) to submerge the nail heads. When you paint this, also recommend to start with the little domes and really work around them so paint does not pool. Finish the rest of the paint job with swipes in parallel to the length of the 'board'. I ended up using four coats of paint...it was worth it. Your mileage may vary! It's tricky material but with patience, it works. In progress photo attached.. Tamara. Granger, TX. Wed Dec 31 2025

Our beautiful panel molding and corners add a decorative, historic, feel to walls, ceilings, and furniture pieces. They are made from a high-density urethane which gives each piece unique details that mimic that of traditional plaster and wood designs, but at a fraction of the weight. This means a simple and easy installation for you. The best part is you can make your own shapes and sizes by simply cutting the molding piece down to size, and then butting them up to the decorative corners. These are also commonly used for an inexpensive wainscot look.

This moulding elevated my project to the next level. I up-cycled an old entertainment center into a closet organizer and the moulding was easy to use, lightweight, and the perfect topper.. Vickie. Troutman, NC. Mon Mar 30 2026

I ordered this set for a wall and it was a bit different than expected! In the pictures it looks thinner and more delicate, but it’s a chunky thick chair molding. It’s also lightweight and foam. We nailed it to the wall, but I believe it could be done with glue! We also modified the pattern to make it not all the same size—the middle set is wider.. Danielle. Bristol, VA. Sun Feb 04 2024

I can’t say enough good things about Ekena. Every order has arrived quickly, perfectly packed, and in flawless condition. The quality is so impressive that it pushed me to take on DIY projects I never imagined doing alone. I purchased a mitre saw, nail gun and caulking gun and was ready to go. Honestly, this has gotten so easy that I installed crown molding in my bathroom using leftover scraps in less than 45 minutes one day after work. And, I’m an IT chic who always has her hair and nails done. I’m not a professional contractor. It’s like interior decorating and is so much fun! I began with a small hallway, and once I saw how professional it looked, I kept going — dining room, living room, front hallway, master bedroom. Each space turned out beautifully. Friends and family are stunned when I tell them I installed all the molding myself. I have purchased: crown molding, chair rail molding, wainscot panels, embellishments (a shell to cover a large frame wire from a heavy picture), inside corners, outside corners and lifted paneling that I installed on plain wooden doors for a glow up. Ekena didn’t just sell me molding — they helped me transform my home. Start small and give it a go. I love this company!. Anonymous. Hartford, CT. Sun Jun 14 2026
