The description says for small dog but my dog is a medium dog and has plenty of space. I had to look at the measurements before buying to make sure he would be okay in there because the description says for a small dog. Overall it’s great, I do just wish that the gates for the dog were more heavy and sturdy because if my dog really wanted to he could probably break through it. The back board is also flimsy so I wish it was a sturdier material since it’s for a dog. That’s the only reason for a 4 star because if my dog truly wanted to break out I don’t doubt that he could. I recently became an unexpected mom to a huge 9-months-old border collie. I needed a good sturdy kennel and wanted one that was attractive as well. I really love this kennel. It is very large, but it's what I needed. I had some difficulty putting it together by myself, but it is very doable. I also purchased the beautiful pillow shown inside in the attached photo from Wayfair, but the pillow is a little too lofty for my dog. Wasn’t hard to build if you have any knowledge of cabinet construction. Generally looks nicer than comparable units because of the raised face door and drawers. Over all quality is great, especially for the price! I needed it for two small dogs so I added a divider in the middle so that the sliding door is one kennel and the side door is the other..
