This lamp is beautiful, but was EXTREMELY difficult to put together. The holes in the marble base did not line up with the screws. Luckily, I’m married to a handy engineer and he reworked it somehow. But then it wobbled, so he had to add some shims. The shade was a whole other story. I read a review that was very helpful or I may have never figured that out. An Adesso patented 300-watt double Socket construction allows for two crisscrossed sockets, each holding on/off 150-watt incandescent or LED bulbs which provides approximately 3 times more light than a typical torchiere. The brushed steel finish is complemented with chrome accents on a chunky pole that gives the lamp a bold presence in a room. A simple high/low rotary switch is located on the pole to adjust the brightness. This lamp has a black cord and is smart outlet compatible. Use incandescent bulbs up to 150W or dimmable LED bulbs (Do not use: 3-way bulbs or CFLs). We recommend using incandescent bulbs for best results achieving both settings of 50% brightness and 100% brightness with no flicker. When using LED bulbs, it is common to see some flicker on the low setting (the high setting will always have no flicker). A dimmable LED will minimize the low-setting flicker, but may still occur. Bulbs are not included.
