I bought this after having my roof replaced and having severe offgassing that somehow came into our living space. It helped tremendously to make our bedroom livable. It's not nearly as cool as an air conditioner but it's better than hot dry air blowing when it's too warm out. It comes with 4 ice packs so you can use two and have two in the freezer to switch out. The fan looks really nice and doesn't take up a large footprint. It has given me the ability to put off using the air conditioner a bit.
