Some key pieces in the base have slowly come apart after assembling. Even after using a set torque setting, it came apart and makes a tremendous amount of noise. The Prestow uses a simple butterfly mechanism - gently pull on either end of the table to 'open' the sliding mechanism and reveal the extension piece concealed under the top. Available in either white and gray, cream and oak or oak. This product is real wood and so it will age, which can result in colour variations.

Assembly was a little tricky because the leaf did not align with the pre-drilled holes. Moving the hardware fixed this. Table is a little darker than the picture, which is ok. The table arrived with some damage. The package arrived torn and retapped on one end - one of the table legs has a good size chip damage at the bottom and one of the pre-drilled screws on the leg does not tighten up…it only keeps pulling out of wood. I’m super happy with this. I almost didn’t buy it and looked for a long time to buy something else because of the one review that talks about crumbs getting in the crevices and having to vacuum it. I really hate crumbs and all of that but so far, it’s not been a big issue for me whatsoever. I have vacuumed it a couple times but they come right out. The crevice is not so small that they really get stuck in there. It’s beautiful and well worth the prize. I was looking at things that were three times the amount for this level of quality.. Lora.
