(UPDATE) I finally got my vanity area done. In general, I love the mirror, BUT, I would have preferred to have it mounted to the wall. The instructions seem to indicate that there should have been a bar on the back of the mirror for the J hooks to attach to, but the back of my mirror was perfectly smooth, so there was nothing for the J hooks to hold. In other words, if you plan on hanging this mirror, when you receive it, open it immediately and verify the hanging hardware is included. Also, keep in mind this mirror is very heavy, so definitely make sure it has excellent support (attached to wall stud). Works for me, but cautiously recommended to someone who wants it wall mounted. In case you’re wondering where the bolts are for connecting the base to the mirror, they’re already screwed in underneath the mirror. You just need to unscrew them first. I love this mirror! The glass is really clear and the light gets nice and bright. It was easy to put together (just 2 bolts for the stand, tool included) it feels sturdy. It’s heavy enough that it doesn’t seem easy to tip so long as it’s on a flat surface and not somewhere it’s likely to get bumped into, but light enough to easily move from one location to another. the brightness is not that great but the setup is good on top of dresser. the base had some issues with screwing in the screws since one was a bit short and I had to get longer ones. it is a bit wobbly because of that but I suppose it still works as long as it is a flat surface.
