We have used this for several years as it's a great size for our little apartment. Very sturdy. The pop out center is quite heavy and our younger kids needed help to reverse it to the lego side. Its a nice desk and serves its purpose perfectly. I needed another draft desk for my other art projects without constantly clearing my other work spaces. The holes on the stool didnt align perfectly but my husband made it work and when you lift the desk it doesnt glide down easily without assisting it in the back. It looks nice and similar to the photo. Seems sturdy. Assembly took a couple hours. Screws and nuts had a difficult time fitting and some of the little round wood caps did not snap in on the outside of the legs. (I plan to glue them or buy additional caps). My Main concern (but WILL NOT return) is some demage on the one leg foot platform. ( see photo ). For the cost of this furniture item I would have expected 100% wood and slightly better quality..
