These are solid, heavy lamps. The base is wide enough to support the shade---no chance of them tipping over (I was worried about that!). LOVELY design. My only complaint is that I was under the impression (and this is one of the reasons I purchased these lamps), that they were made in USA...only to find a "made in China" sticker on the bottom of the lamp :( :(. This lamp is stunning! I love these Tiffany style lamps. They are so beautiful and put off such a pretty light. Packaging was so easy to take out. It took me less than five minutes to take everything out and another two minutes to put it together! Super easy! This one even included the bulbs with it! As you can see, it takes two bulbs. With this size lamp, if you put it high up, you’ll be able to see the two bulbs underneath, so I like to put it on a lower table. Also, I took pictures throughout the day so you can see the different colors throughout. It’s a little more yellow in the pictures than it is in person. It’s gorgeous! If I had anything to say that I don’t love is the base. It is painted brown. I do prefer the metal bases on these with the bronze look but it still works with my decor. I love it! Shipping was fast! I love the colors and design and the size is perfect (not too big or too small for the intended space). The lighted base is what stood out to me. This is a beautiful dragonfly-style 2 light table lamp featuring warm, colored stained glass. Each shade is handcrafted, using the same methods developed by Louis Comfort Tiffany in the early 1900s. This process entails using 264 hand-cut stained art glass pieces, 24 glass beads, and 54 crystals, each wrapped in fine copper foil and soldered together at extremely high temperatures to form each unique piece. The exact size to the nearest inch may vary, and the exact color of each glass piece may vary due to each piece being handcrafted.
