As other reviewers have said the lamp is easy to topple. It’s top front heavy but we don’t have any issues with it in the corner if no one bumps it. These are solid, heavy lamps. The base is wide enough to support the shade---no chance of them tipping over (I was worried about that!). LOVELY design. Beautiful glow with low wattage bulb on one side, bright enough to read with a bigger wattage in the other one. Packaging was OVER THE TOP. My only complaint is that I was under the impression (and this is one of the reasons I purchased these lamps), that they were made in USA...only to find a "made in China" sticker on the bottom of the lamp :( :(.
