This is just stunning at night! It is made of a very delicate metal, and the dragonfly design is gorgeous. It looks like a jarred lantern, and its empty inside. I dont see a way to open it. Wow, this is a beautiful lantern. Arrived very securely packaged. I found the same item on another (much more expensive) website before I found the exact same thing here at a substantially better price (kicking myself over that one). This lantern is just beautiful in both day and night environments, but especially at night, when the colors reflect on the surface the lantern is sitting on. The solar bulb is bright, allowing for the beautiful reflective design. The thickness of the glass is substantial -- it doesn't feel like it will break easily. NO DIRECTIONS These fairy lights came in separate boxes. They were not assembled. The wire handles were not attached and when I tried to attach them, when I lifted them up they came off. There was a battery knocking around in the jar with absolutely no directions about how to attach the battery compartment once I put the battery in. I tried many ways to assemble the various wires but nothing worked. None of the jars light up at night. I have never gotten such poor quality from Wayfair-ever.
