The duvet cover is soft, silky, and lightweight, about the weight of a bedsheet, but exceptionally soft. I paired it with a lightweight, inexpensive goose-down insert, and it gives me just the right amount of warmth without feeling heavy or suffocating. Without the insert, the duvet cover could easily function as an extra sheet on the bed. It has 8 ties, which do a great job of keeping the insert in place, and it was very easy to wash. I dried it on high heat, and it came out great with no wrinkles. The photo was taken before adding the insert, so it may look a little wrinkled because I hadn't adjusted it. I was mainly trying to gauge the size on a full-size bed. I ultimately used it on a queen bed, and it's the perfect size - enough coverage without looking overly oversized. My only complaint was the smell when I first opened the package. It had a very strong, fecal-like odor, so I immediately had to throw it in the wash. I’d love to give this comforter 5 stars because it’s very comfy and feels almost like hotel quality. However after a month of use I started to feel some itchiness and realized that it was because feathers were coming out of the fabric. The solution is to use a duvet cover which is a little disappointing for me as I feel they just make the comforter hotter, and I’m already a hot sleeper.
