The locksmith came to install the lock and we discovered that two of the four batteries that came with the unit were dead. I called Wayfair's great customer service folks, who are sending out four fresh batteries. Normally this would not be an issue but I have never seen these batteries before. They are CR 123A 3V lithium batteries. In researching these, the internet says the batteries should have a 10-year shelf life, I don't know why they would be dead. The lock seems sturdy and very well made. I have three other keypad locks that take AA batteries and I am constantly replacing them. When I get power on the lock I will update my review.. Brenda. I have several of the Boulder Arched Electronic Deadbolts. We purchased as they were able to accommodate a thick door. When the door is locked, press the keypad to activate it. Then 3 or so random numbers appear lit; all the other numbers do not light up. Press those 3 or so numbers that are lit .
