Big enough for me to stretch out on lying down and wide enough to cuddle with a few puppies and/or a kid but I'm a small person (5ft tall). Absolutely will not flip over. My 90lb puppy loves it and kept hopping on and off and I didn't fall out. Before ordering, I was mostly concerned with the thickness of the cushion. I've looked at a few of these chairs and that seemed to be the main complaint. My cushion is great and appears just like the picture. I love it. The puppies love it.
