We totally love the new hallway doors! They have replaced 1980s louver doors and make the entry now feel so contemporary and up-to-date. Yes, we relied on our local contractor to install them, as they needed to be trimmed to fit the existing height requirement. The cost of the doors and labor together were well-worth it, though -- our contractor is sending a picture of the doors to other clients, as they are sure to be a popular replacement in our condo community. :). Love love love these doors. Used them between the master bedroom and master bath. They look great and the frosted glass lets in some light while providing privacy. It was a bit of work for our contractor to set the hardware as the doors are are not prepped for that but we knew that from previous reviews Even with that our local building supply store wanted 3000 for a “custom” door of this design. Nice quality doors and the finish looks great in person. The pivot hardware works smoothly and gives a much cleaner look than traditional bifold closet doors. The door looks nice and works well overall. One thing to note if you’re installing it in a frame with a traditional door stop built into the jamb, it may have trouble closing properly. Installation wasn’t too difficult, but make sure to read the instructions thoroughly before starting. Updating to edit- the doors were great out of the box, but once we got them hung, they started coming apart around the shaker trim/molding. We’ve tried using wood glue and clamps to secure it but it keeps pulling apart. We’re left with non-functioning doors. Doors look great! We purchased two of these doors for our entryway closets. They look beautiful and were relatively easy to assemble as long as you have help. The left door has an issue with the hinge. Whenever you open the door, the hinge drops and the door no longer lines up with the magnetic closure. If you pull the door at the bottom, it slips back into place, but still a little frustrating.
