Our office entry way is huge, 84W by 89H, so we needed the largest size door this had to offer. Pro - the doors were super easy to assemble and the material is heavy duty. Con - definitely took 2 people to assemble the rail track and lift the doors, challenging to get the rail perfectly level and studded into the wall securely, I am still slightly concerned we don't have enough reinforcement holding it up with a basic 1x6 headboard as suggested on the instructions. Exactly what we needed. Great sturdy doors with a slight grain in them make them look even more expensive. Lots of pieces assembly took a while but was worth it and we opted to paint them as an accent to our white walls. They took the paint very well! Just make sure you have proper anchors to mount the track or block out properly in the wall before Sheetrock. We had to shore them up a little with bigger anchors in the Sheetrock.. Jen. Beautiful Doors. We wanted to eliminate the opening and closing of our French Doors from our Living Room to the Sunroom, so we decided to go with these and we’re very happy with them. They’re made extremely well, and the finish feels like silk… No painting necessary. We did not remove the frame, when we took down French Doors, so we have a little gap and the doors don’t close tight; however, that’s fine for us. The doors themselves are beautiful, but these are not for the DIY person to handle....they didn't come with pre-drilled holes for the hardware to be installed in, nor was there a track milled out of the bottom of each door so that they could slide on the floor hardware (rather than swing in and out when they move). Super solid doors that look great in our dining room refresh. The finish on the doors is excellent. The top and bottom horizontal portions of the doors are slightly recessed and might cause the vertical panels to catch on any quarter-round shoe moulding if you hang the doors close to the floor. They look great. We were silly and put trim on the door frame so our handyman had to add spacers to the rail so the doors would go over the trim. Normally you wouldn’t trim the doorway fyi. We also had a bumper added to the middle to stop the doors from sliding all the way from side to side. Without it the doors don’t stop in the middle and they can come out of the bottom track. Looks amazing!!!! I received bids from 5k-10k for custom glass black metal office doors. Instead, I paid a contractor 450 to install these. I did not put the vertical inserts on the panes, I liked them better this way. I bought an extension kit so that the doors can slide completely out of the door opening and behind the wall. It was very difficult to assemble and took the contractors 3-man team a full day. They had to go to the hardware store for more hardware. It was more complicated because of the extension, Im sure.
