The unit is pretty nice overall, drawers do not line up very well though (uneven gaps around the sides), and the latches are not designed for the unit, so they hang over the edge of the metal. Very pleased with the quality of this kennel. Be sure to caulk the inside edges to prevent leaks of material from going into the cracks. It is not waterproof but water resistant on the surfaces which are plastic veneer. My dogs love it. They go right in. I used bird trays for the bottom of bird cages sold on a major pet site which measure 20 inches width and depth to hold dog blankets and avoid damage. Easy assembly. My two medium sized dogs are very happy with all the room they have. I love it, because it looks like just another piece of furniture, and not a horrible eye sore! Very beautiful, but instructions were not the most clear. Also, holes throughout different pieces did not always align, although we were able to make it work.
