The perfect blend of old meets new, this fantastic clock has an adorable yet simple cuckoo feature with a modern and minimalistic design birdhouse-style surround. Its crisp white color ensures that it will fit in perfectly with any decor scheme and remain a timeless feature within your home. Its compact and sleek design makes a great feature with a big impact! The clock mechanism operates with a 1.5v C LR14 battery and 2 more of the same type of batteries for the cuckoo mechanism. To use the clock without the cuckoo, remove the 2 batteries from the slots where it writes "Cuckoo". Batteries are not included in the box. To frequently ask questions: 1. Is the battery included? No, the battery is not included in this package. 2. How many batteries do I need? You will need 3 x C batteries for the clock to work in full, if you do not wish to have the cuckoo clock sound, you may only put 2 x C batteries. 3. Can I adjust the volume of the sounds? Yes, there is a volume switch to adjust the volume, to completely turn it off you would need to remove the battery. 4. Can I adjust the cuckoo clock singing time? No, it has been manufactured and set to sing from 7 am to 9 pm. The previous version had a 6 am starting time but after some parent feedback, we are now having them from 7 am to suit the kid's wake-up time for school. 5. What sounds will this clock make? Once every hour, the door of the cuckoo clock will be opened, and the bird will be popping out and sing "Kookoo, Kookoo" according to the hour, for example, at 1 o'clock, it will sing once, and at noon, the bird will sing "Kookoo" twelve times. This clock does not have noisy flashing noise like others, purely just "Kookoo''. 6. How do I register for the 2-year warranty? The instruction is full in the package, you may just register your clock online to be for qualified the 2-years warranty.

This clock is a high-end item, providing a great focal point. I was pleased by the size, even though I measured and expected a large clock, this has a magnificent presence. It is at least the 4" thick depth and gives it an impressive look. The gears move - at first they were not moving - which would have been OK with us; however, after a day we realized they were moving. Could have been it took a bit for them to loosen up after shipping - or maybe the battery for that operation wasn't quite seated correctly - although we didn't take it down and check. It is a heavy clock - a little awkward to hang but the metal bar is strong and secure. Doesn't come with screws or anchors - so have them on hand. UPDATE: 3/08/2026 - have had the clock for a little over 2 weeks and have been experiencing an intermittent faint high-pitched whistle in our home. Finally diagnosed as the clock. Removed the batteries and the whistle stopped. Put the battery back in for the clock itself - no sound. Put the batteries back in for the gears to move, whistle started up. Am in contact now with manufacturer through Wayfair - they keep wanting pictures but there is no photo that would show an internal mechanical sound. A bit frustrating. UPDATE 3/10/2026: Manufacturer asked that I purchase new batteries and replace all three. Did that but still experiencing the whistling sound. Unfortunately, the clock is now out of stock, so a replacement item is not an option. Because the clock is unique and I love it, I will keep it. The manufacturer has provided a 20% discount because of the mechanical issues. Their Customer Service is SUPERB! I updated my rating to 4 stars because of their excellent service; however, the mechanical issues with the clock emitting the high-pitched whistle warrants a lower rating for the item itself. We really like this clock! The only drawbacks are that the frame is plastic and the outside woodgrain is a decal and not actual wood but when you hang it up, it looks really nice. It also came with two extra set of clock face hands and another clock motor, which was really nice. I wish that it had had a center hang instead of two side hanging slots as this made it difficult to center and put up but overall we are happy with our purchase. The clock is quite handsome, and the overall appearance is better than expected. The color is exactly what I was looking for. The brown is very rich with just a hint of red. Dark but not espresso. A little light and it really brings out the character and color. The clock isn’t real wood but it isn’t plastic, which you get on some (often cheaper) clocks. The engineered wood does keep it lightweight, however. My one complaint is to get the clock and chime working is hair-pulling. I followed the directions to a T and the problem is the little hand keeps falling down to around the 6 o’clock mark when you try to set the time. I ended up getting it to work but without the chime..
