This is very well made and heavy (cast iron?). I'm giving 4 stars because I bought this door knocker to use as a door knocker, but it arrived without holes to mount ( 'holes' are filled-in with cast iron ), so I couldn't mount my door knocker as a door knocker, so I repurposed my door knocker into a door stop and I'm very happy now with my new door stop... that can also be used as a floor knocker (if I had downstairs neighbors, it would be a fun way to annoy them).. OMG this door knocker is so cute!!! It’s large and has some good weight to it! It’s absolutely beautiful! I had an old school door knocker on my door, so I already had 2 holes in my door. I needed a knocker that would accommodate the existing holes and this worked out perfect! This knocker is a 2 piece knocker and my existing holes are 4” apart. It’s nice and heavy, but the photos on the website suggest a greenish tinge and the product is actually just black. Would have preferred it to be the color represented on the website.
