I have a 7 year old boxer who has never been comfortable going into the pool…I spotted this and am thrilled with the idea of offering her this option. It shipped quickly and with no issues. Once the box is opened I found it wrapped in a great draw string bag which will be good for storage in between seasons. It is a heavy thick material that is definitely designed for dog pawsnails. Appears to be relatively heavy-duty and well made. It is certainly long enough to serve as we expected for our old fat beagle to use to get up into my truck, on the couch and possibly onto the bed again. Rocky has arthritis in his hips and we do a lot of lifting of his aft end to get him up the back steps, into the truck and onto the couch. The ramp is long enough to make the grade favorable and not so steep he cannot negotiate most "climbs" as needed. The ramp is very compact when collapsed, yet quite strong when extended for use. This kit contains two (2) 23.5" aircraft aluminum legs with rubber feet, a 10" stabilizing brace, plus 8 (eight) fiddle screws, three (3) per leg and two (2) for the brace which makes for quick and easy installation. Kit is for use with this Folding Ramp 222K And 222G. Simply insert the legs into the bottom of the ramp and attach the stabilizer bar from the ends of the legs using the screws provided. Place the curved section of the ramp on the side of the pool and place the legs into the pool at the shallow end. The aluminum legs are hollow, which allows them to fill with water, holding the ramp in place. The ramp legs have rubber feet to keep it in place as well as to protect the pool bottom. We recommend that the pool legs should not be left in chlorine or salt water pools for days at a time. Hosing the pool legs down on a regular basis will reduce the potential oxidation that could result from the extensive exposure to chlorine or other chemicals.

I like these dogs ramps, and love that they came in a set of two. We have an older dog that has a hard time with the bottom step of our basement stairs, because it is higher than the other stairs. She also has a hard time getting started up the steps to our RV when camping and the ground is uneven. They were easy to put together and are lightweight and portable. This is the second Pet Gear collapsible ramp that I have purchsed. The other one is at least three years old and is still in great condition.
