Wasn’t hard to build if you have any knowledge of cabinet construction. Generally looks nicer than comparable units because of the raised face door and drawers. I recently became an unexpected mom to a huge 9-months-old border collie. I needed a good sturdy kennel and wanted one that was attractive as well. I really love this kennel. It is very large, but it's what I needed. I had some difficulty putting it together by myself, but it is very doable. I also purchased the beautiful pillow shown inside in the attached photo from Wayfair, but the pillow is a little too lofty for my dog. Overall the crate is very nice, putting it together took quite a few hours but it came together. I took a star away because it’s kinda hard to open the front doors without putting your whole arm through the crate bars to unlatch the bottom & top. Also one side of the front crate door hinges didnt properly go in all the way so the doors are a little uneven. I have a Golden retriever and a King Charles cavalier and they both fit well. The product also looks good in my living room. Love that there are drawers to store additional doggie items. We love this dog house. We have a 110 pound German shepherd who prefers being outside. I never grew up with an outdoor dog so I was extremely hesitant to move him full time to our backyard, but this dog house made it an easier choice. He’s super happy and so are we. One thing to note is the installation is very tricky. We thought we could do it ourselves but we ended up paying someone 700 to build it for us. Arrived quickly and well packaged. Our dog is only in her crate occasionally but due to some behavioral issues (shes a rescue with a terrible past) we will need a crate available, so I wanted something that looked like a piece of furniture. My husband and I spent just about over an hour putting it together. Overall I am very pleased and would recommend it. My -1 star is for when you pull the corner protectors off, be careful!
