This bed is OK - good but not great. The cover is made from a nice soft comfortable fabric and seems well-made, with good even stitching. It has a zipper so it can go in the washer too. There's no non-skid backing, and it's so lightweight you can expect it to slide around, but that means you can flip it over and have a new "top" if normal wear & tear starts to show. The padding is the same poly-fill that you find in medium priced human bed pillows. This filling will inevitably flatten and "bunch" over time, and I don't recommend it for older dogs or those with arthritis. Or, heavy dogs who will flatten it quickly. It's made with baffles running within the interior of the padding to combat "bunching", but, because they're not offset, they create breaks in the pad. There is access to the padding via a zipper, allowing you to go in and "fluff" occasionally, so you do have some control. My dogs started using this bed just a few minutes after I opened it! I ordered the size large and two of my medium-sized dogs can comfortably fit on it. It seems nice and cushiony and I like that the cover is removable so I can wash it. I have not had it long enough to test its longevity, but it seems like it has greater potential than most of the other beds I have had. Update: After owning this bed a year, it has still held up mostly well. It does have a little crater in the middle of the bed, but the dogs are still using it.
