Looked at lots of these - all the same brand though because it seemed like the way to go in general for quality and colors, lots of purchases, etc. After comparing different colors and types, this seemed to have a good number of positive reviews and not too many negative, and negative ones I could deal with - and I loved the pattern. I was incredibly (pleasantly) surprised after it arrived ( and of course it came lightning quick thanks to Wayfair!!). Here is what I found after it arrived compared to other reviews of this blanket and others by this brand: 1. perfect thickness, not too heavy but not light as a feather either. Not one you can throw across the bed by yourself. It feels like a lighter version of a weighted blanket. I dont wake up drenched in sweat; somehow it must be breathable. It is pretty cold in fall and winter where i live, so that is a factor too 2. no smell/odor at all 3. very minor shedding if at all? Have not seen anything noticeable 4. no greasy weird microfiber texture that you find sometimes 5. it does shift a bit at night, but nothing terrible. It never came close to hitting the floor 6. have not washed it yet - comes with detailed instructions not to heat dry (air fluff only) and use a LARGE washer/dryer. if this is a problem for you, I would not order it because all of these blankets seem to have the same complaint there. 7. lastly, i ordered this as a fill in blanket for the fall and winter because we are moving and I have my heavy down comforters packed away. It is so comforting and decadent I am never taking it off :) The texture, the feel of it - just heavenly, and so comforting after a bad day.
