Arrived damaged on one corner and a small dent thru the veneer on the table top. Wayfair said the manufacturer would reach out in two business days but its so heavy I dont want to handle a return. I think Ill put a coat of lacquer on it to keep my kids from scratching it. For the price this is an excellent solid table. Fits great in my small space and two wider chairs still fit side by side on the length. The reviews on this table are all over the place, so I wanted to share my honest experience. Quality 1010. This table is solid wood, very sturdy, and surprisingly heavy. It feels well-made and substantial. Packaging 1010. It arrived extremely well protected with no damage. Assembly 1010. Assembly couldn’t have been easier—you just attach the legs. As for the appearance, this is where I’m a little torn. I don’t love the finish. Instead of looking naturally rustic, it has more of a whitewashed, chalky look, and the wood has a slight pink undertone. In my opinion, the finish cheapens what is otherwise a beautiful table. Ironically, I actually prefer the look of the unfinished underside. That said, the table has definitely grown on me. I think it pairs beautifully with white upholstered dining chairs, and the overall shape is timeless and elegant. I also chose the 84-inch size after reading reviews that the smaller version looked a bit undersized compared to the chunky pedestal legs, and I’m really glad I sized up. Overall, while I’m not completely in love with the finish, I’m still happy with my purchase because the craftsmanship, quality, and design are excellent. I bought this table thinking I was getting something bigger. The ad says it can seat 8 when fully extended. There is nothing to extend. It may seat 8, but it will be extremely crampeduncomfortable, especially for 8 adults. If you do manage to seat 8 adults, there is no possible way to have anything on the table except regular place-settings, which means all food will have to be dished out in the kitchen. This would make an EXCELLENT kids table, but probably not great for an adults table, if youre looking to have a traditional 8-place-setting meal. I really like the table! Two chairs don’t fit side by side like the pictures but thats probably because i got the 63”. It’s easy to assemble, I spent 2-3 hours building because I tightened all the screws and had to unscrew to adjust the legs to fit. DON’T tighten screws all the way till the very end!
