Easy to assemble and overall satisfied with the island. Took away a star because one of the side panels was broken when removing it from the box I had to glue it and wait for the glue to dry before assembling. I received the kitchen island with extendable dining table which had a few challenges during assembly. One of the board was not milled with the cut outs to fit the other piece together. I contacted customer service and they contacted the manufacturer. The manufacturer sent the correct piece which took about a week to receive. During assembly, there were some areas where the pre-made holes for the screws were not lined up and required some drilling to correct. Once the island was assembled, it looked great and was sturdy. Behind the two doors is an adjustable shelf with ample storage and the drawer is wide and roomy. There is a towel rack at the end of the island and the extendable table pulls out easily and provides enough room for two adults to sit. I love the fluted wood design and the gold fixtures stands out nicely from the white. 8/10, an absolute WIN! One piece of the table has a dent in it due to shipping and handling. I put a vase on top of it to hide it. Wayfair gave a me a small % of a refund due to the dent. I paid for the professional assembly Wayfair offers, and it took him 3.5 hours to assemble. TONS of pieces, and the instruction manual is crucial! It has plenty of space, is aesthetically pleasing, and gives my kitchen the luxury upgrade I desire. It has two drawers that don’t have the lock when you extend it, so I have to be careful when opening it. I even added books where some would put spices, so I am loving the dual purpose. We chose the *White Dodge Kitchen Island and we thoroughly LOVE it❣️ Btw, we think it's very slightly off-white, but that is what we wanted. It is Perfect in every way possible for us❣️ The look and colors fit into our 103 year old Craftsman House so well. Where our last island was open underneath, the Dodge Kitchen Island has plenty of closed storage space for a much less cluttered feel. Our last island was shorter in length, narrower in width; the Dodge Kitchen Island gives my SO/Fiance-Chef PLENTY of Counter Space to work with at an area of 60 by 30 inches! This means he can store his Kitchen Knives, Cutting Boards, Basket of cooking oils, plus a few other items, AND still have room to work!! We began searching for a kitchen island last year when we came across this Dodge Kitchen Island, but the price was out of range for us at the time. I saved the link, checked in now and then, looking, patiently waiting, hoping for a sale. Occasionally it did go on sale, not in a way that made it affordable for us. So I kept saving money for it. One night in the wee hours, scrolling through Wayfair I saw that it had gone on sale again, the price was $400 off; I hemmed and hawed, then just threw it in the cart and BOUGHT IT❣️ My husband-to-be LOVES cooking, I knew he LOVED THIS kitchen island, and he deserves the BEST. He woke in the middle of the night, I told him what I did, he said, "YOU WHAT??! THAT'S INSANE". I said, we do have the money in savings, you know I can rebuild it again, and you deserve the kitchen of your dreams. By morning he agreed, and now HE LOVES IT❣️ This island is very well made with thick, sturdy, pine. The wheels were in a packet strapped in the right side cupboard, the strap is screwed down; you will need a phillips screwdriver to remove it if your Pro-Relo shipper/driver does not do this for you. You will use the same screwdriver to remove the screws that are holding the front-side doors open, (they do this to keep the doors from sliding around during shipping). On the TOWEL RACK, you need not bump your knees, ROFL! The Towel Rack was merely screwed there for shipping purposes. Zip tied to the towel rack is an envelope, screws, a template, and directions; this is for you to use so you can place that towel rack at either end of the island. Chris, my Dear Love & SO says to tell you this: "Unless somebody is very skilled with a drill/driver, screw them in with a (non powered) screwdriver. It would be very easy to strip them out with just a little too much torque applied." I do believe he is correct in his assessment, pine is a VERY soft wood, if you strip out the hole you are attempting to screw the screw into, (don't say it, I know what you are thinking ), you will not be able to use said hole for placing the towel rack there.
