This set is beautiful, a perfect size for my space. It is as pictured. The cherry finish is not overly “ red”. Matches my cabinetry very well. Solid feeling set, chain/ gears for the expansion leaf. There was a small nick in table edge, should cover easily. There was a scratch , maybe just in the varnish, of the pedestal base, won’t easily be seen. The table and chairs are made out of very solid material. Being an online purchase, I was expecting something more like particle board or something like that. Not so. I'm very happy with the quality of the table and chairs so far (2 weeks). The only thing that was a surprise was the color. If you want the medium brown in the Wayfair photos online, you need to buy something else. The color of this set is a dark chocolate brown, not medium brown. The color works for me so I have no complaints, but be warned the color online is much lighter than what will arrive at your home via FedEx. One last thing...I did have to get three new chair backs because of discoloration and scratches. But Wayfair was great...they sent them out immediately and everything was put together.
