The assembly instructions don’t tell you how to insert the gold pieces, so I’m sharing the trick here. You won’t be able to push in the gold pieces with your fingers and the holes will seem too small, but the pieces will fit - you have to use a mallet. Tilt the piece and use your mallet to gently tap in one edge of the piece so that it lodges crookedly in the hole. This dining table and chairs took about 45min to out together. Some of the screws were harder to get in. We actually ended up using our drill to put the screws in quicker. Very nice and heavy table. Good quality and easy to put together. I have six chairs for it and everyone fits comfortably while eating. The only problem I have is once I got it assembled, I dusted it with Pledge, wiped it really good to make sure it was dry, then put my table runner on it.
