Took me about five hours to put this whole set together, not bad for a 70 year old woman. I made a mistake on the first chair, had to disassemble and redo. My fault even though the instructions were a little sketchy. The chairs were a little time consuming, the bench and table were a breeze. Included in this time was cleanup, cutting up the cardboard and using the plastic coverings as trash bags for the styrofoam and small pieces. Great bench, arrived quickly and undamaged. Wood is medium colored as shown online (sorry my photo is backlit by a window and makes it look darker). Cushion is very firm do NOT recommend plopping down to test sitting. Double check the hardware before opening everything. We were missing a few long screws for the bottom, but had the right size at home and were able to substitute them in. As described. The cushion is firm / stiff, but comfortable. The back is low and a bit reclined, but also comfortable to lean against. Slightly high from the floor, but similar to dining room chairs and the cushioning might compress. Comes in a giant thin box that we were able to get up the steps and assemble without much trouble, but would be impossible for one person. We bought this for the foot of a king size bed and it is perfect for a place to put on shoes, rest a suitcase while packing, or drape a blanket over the back to pull up when one partner sleeps colder than the other.. Love the look of the table and chairs. Not sure of the quality or how well it will hold up but it does look nife with a very slight white wash. The chair legs seem to be different lengths and there is no height adjustment so it make chairs wobbly. The table came with a nick in the tap but could not return as I needed the table for a certain day. Items were sent in 3 different boxes from 3 different locations on 3 different days and that cost my company extra time to be there for the delivery and assemble on different days. Wayfair sent wrong item at first then it took an extra two weeks to get the correct bench and HOURS on the phone with customer service on about 5 differnt calls because they could not get things right. I needed item for a Open house in a week of when I ordered but the bench took 3 weeks after order to get it and if I new this I would have never ordered it.
