The WÜSTHOF Gourmet 3" Flat Cut Paring Knife's small, narrow blade is easy to handle, making it the perfect knife to trim, slice, and peel small produce such as herbs, strawberries, and garlic cloves. Handy knife with pointed blade: this Vegetable Knife / Small Boning Knife is ideal for fiddly bits of meat or hard-to-reach parts of larger vegetables. With this knife, precise cuts are possible where long blades or even hands could get in the way.

Didn’t realize it was so small. Find it difficult to handle. Also did not know there was a lifetime warranty on your knives. I bought my 8” chef knife while in culinary school in 2002 and the handle broke off about 5 years after. It was still my favorite knife that’s why I bought another. Is it too late to be compensated. I no longer have a receipt. I bought it in a specialty store they was recommended by by school Nycct. Jenifer A.. Sun Apr 20 2025

CLASSIC IKON knives feature a distinctive, double bolster design for professional-style heft, exceptional balance and beauty. The handle is made of a highly durable synthetic material – Polyoxymethylene (POM) – which has a tighter molecular structure to resist fading and discoloration. The elegant shape of the handle is designed for a comfortable grip.

I waited too long to pull the plug on obtaining good knives. I'll have one more to buy, the next size up from this one so I don't have to use the chef knife or this knife for cutting a large apple. They are great to handle, very sharp, and obviously well made. Glad I didn't keep waiting. My other knife was cheap and old and I couldn't sharpen it anymore. Very happy, but also now really paying attention because it is extremely sharp. I cut a lot of raw ginger and sometimes the knife would slip. I don't want that with this one. Makes you pay full attention. Which is good.. Val G.. Thu Oct 09 2025

Fruits and veggies cut with a metal knife tend to turn brown fairly quickly (called oxidization); but with a Ceramic knife, it's much slower, if it happens at all! In a recent test comparison of our ceramic knives vs. metal knives, oxidization took twice as long compared to the Metal knives we tested. Ceramic knives start much sharper than more expensive metal knives, and stay that way much longer! Compare retails of a decent metal knife to Peterson housewares ceramic knives, and you'll appreciate the ceramic benefits.

WÜSTHOF is the first knife manufacturer to offer black, fully forged, DLC-coated knives. The diamond-like carbon coating was developed to withstand the toughest conditions: The amorphous carbon layer, just a few micrometers thick, increases the surface hardness of our WÜSTHOF blades from 58 to a unique 104 Rockwell. This makes them resistant to acids, alkalis, extreme temperatures, and general wear and tear – even scratches don't stand a chance. The dynamics of our sharp knives are complemented by the slip-resistant hexagon power grip. Chefs love these outstanding knives that sit perfectly in the hand and guarantee complete control, even under the most demanding working conditions. As a family business now in the seventh generation, WÜSTHOF has been producing knives in Solingen – known as a ‘City of Blades’ – since 1814. Excellent quality, sustainable operations, and innovative ideas guarantee that our production process is among the most advanced of its kind. Our traditional family company is one of the world’s premium manufacturers of high-quality knives. We are expert producers of knives for cooking, such as chef’s knives, specialist knives, paring knives, all-purpose knives, and additional kitchen accessories and/or kitchen aids such as scissors to useful knife blocks, and many more items to do with sharp knife blades. From knife skills workshops on the optimal use of cook’s knives, peeling knives, or bread knives, the high-quality knife sharpener or sharpening steel, the blade-protecting cutting board, or the practical knife set – you will always find a great gift idea in our WÜSTHOF range.
