This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. It is easier to sit on and get up if you are an older person. The color is a marbleized deep red and is very neat and attractive. This sofa is probably not one you would want if you have small children bouncing on to the couch, and would not make a comfortable piece of furniture to lay on, but for people to sit on it is very comfy. The main problem is when ordering this couch which is pretty big, no where does Wayfair offer white glove delivery, nor does it specify that the item will not be delivered to an apartment in a building. When contacted the customer service gave me number of FedEx customer service and to deal with it with them. FedEx customer service is like a wormhole where one keeps going in circles.. basically this was a huge nightmare. The couch itself came well packed except for a small tear on one side which lucky is hidden when assembled. Assembly was easy with two people. It’s a nice couch and it is comfortable. It can seat about four average sized people close or three with plenty of space. The cushions came vacuum sealed So I was a little concerned about them fluffing into full looking cushions but I did not have a problem. I sat them in the sun for about 20 minutes and they look great! The cushions sit directly onto wooden slates that seem a little flimsy and are about a half inch thick so I wouldn’t flop down hard on them. The assembly was super easy and straightforward. There are no tools necessary, there are screws used but they have a twist type top so that you just hand tighten. My biggest issue is wth the back, it velcros to the arms but is loose everywhere else.
