Wood grain look is nicerealistic. I don’t think it will scratch easily. Because there are two configuration options it is quite confusing, mainly the drawer part, but holes lined up just fine. This is a super cute desk, even nicer than I expected. The wood grain finish makes the black look so special and unique. It seems really sturdy, except for the sliding doors, they might not hold up to heavy use. It’s ok, though because I will still be able to use the shelves. It wasn’t the easiest to assemble, I wish I could take away a half star for the unclear instructions. With the complexity of the assembly, detailed instructions would have been really helpful, I am altogether very pleased with this desk, though. It’s just what I needed.. Mary. Meridian, MS.
