File cabinet is a nice piece of furniture but it was a beast to assemble. It took me six hours to assemble it; two of the six hours could have been avoided if I have secured the cabinet to the wall. After assembling the cabinet and placing the folders it was really wobbly, so I decided to secure the cabinet to the wall. I like this office cabinet but there where some aspects that could be improved— the assembly was straightforward but labor intensive especially if you are assembling manually (no power drill), and through the assembly process it was easy to scratch and chip the finish making the final product look used rather than brand new.. Lot to assemble, but when done looks good and sturdy. The only flaw that I see is that I wish they had used a heavier duty top board rather than the half inch thick particle board which could allow placement of a printer or anything else with a little bit of weight. I really do love this desk for the most part, but there are a few things that lost it a star. First, the storage is pretty low quality for the price. The drawers are just cardboard on the bottom and they don’t soft close or anything. The shelving on the other side is kind of dumb also - they’re not big enough to fit anything but small planners or something like that. Partly my fault for not looking at those dimensions, but I just assumed I could keep books there. And finally, putting this desk together is pretty difficult alone. I’ve put together a lot of furniture on my own, and I know what I’m doing, but this took like 6 hours. And I think one of those hours was just lining up the desk too with all the tiny holes to screw it on lol would be much easier with help. Now for positives - the desk looks really good and works really well! The desktop is sturdy and high quality, and the presets are very easy to set and use. There’s plenty of room underneath for your chair or a walking pad. And I love that there’s some room between the desktop and the shelves for storing notebooks, charging tablets, and other things like that. Overall I would recommend!. Anonymous. Milton De.
