It's four stars because some of it is plastic. This unit is not all metal but it still functions and works really well. One important thing to note is that the handheld wand is activated by a manual lever behind the shower head. Right out of the box I was impressed with this Handheld shower head. I ordered the polished nickel and it is beautiful. The design is sleek and minimal, which is what I was going for. This is a VERY HARD TO FIND, "Old School" shower faucet. First, it is 2.5 GPM which I want; second, the slide bar is affixed to the wall firmly; third, the shower head holder is not a flimsy one and it (the entire shower head holder slides along the bar and with a flick of one part of the holder, it becomes firmly held in place). This means that users can easily adjust the position for each person's preferred location for a fixed shower spray or as a handheld unit. This is going into a guest bathroom renovation and we are using it with the Delta Shower Column and Lahara tub/shower trim. This will give us a rain shower, hand shower and tub where we didn't have a hand shower before. I had a 2011 Delta hand-held 2.0 gpm shower head. I have only had one shower with this new shower head, and I am very enthusiastic about it. Even though it has the same gpm as the old shower head, the experience is markedly different. I had it on the regular spray setting and felt very stimulated and awake afterwards. I can't wait to try the other settings. The design is a bit clunky, and that's probably because they are trying to get a lot of functionality into a small volume.. Xeen. Portland, OR.
