I wanted an 'Age In Place' bathroom but didn't want it to look like an institution. This grab bar is lovely as well as functional. We made sure to reinforce behind the wall before installation and placed one horizontally 36" above the floor (per ADA guidelines) and another one vertically at the shower entrance.
