The chrome finish matches the finish of my bathroom cabinet knobs and toilet roll holder, so it's perfect. Installation was pretty simple and straightforward. I did have to buy a metal plate because my old faucet had that attached, so keep that in mind if you do buy this that it doesn't come with the base plate. I love these chairs! They are ALMOST exactly as described. Sturdy, easy assembly, and despite other reviews, comfortable. (They are for my formal dining room, so seated sessions will be infrequent and relatively short.) Taupe is a nice neutral color. The legs are stained pretty dark, I would call it black. I almost didn’t buy them because of the schematic dimensions. I even called to confirm dimensions and the rep was obviously looking at the same thing. Schematic indicates 20” high 6” seat. Which would make the chair rise 26” under my 27” table apron. The true dimension from floor to top of seat is 19” - which is perfect for my table.
