I was skeptical....Delivery wasn't up to standards...BUT, the sofa is awesome! Very firm, but springy, requiring a little "just getting used to". Fabric is better than expected, the color is a little lighter than pictured. Another adjustment...the sofa comes to the floor, no legs, and I can't count how many times my toes have stopped me dead (but softly). LOL! Bottom line, I'm very happy with it! Extremely happy with this!!! Fabulous quality for the price. Super easy to assemble - I did the whole thing myself as a 28yr old 5’3 gal! Came in 4 boxes an vacuum sealed cushions. Let me start by saying I'm so happy these arms even exist! I bought this great 3-section modular sofa which ended up being waaaaay to big for my actual living space. Decided to pull out the middle section and connected the two ends (each had an arm) to make a better-fitting, awesome sofa. The middle section had no arms and to make an extra chair and 1/2, it needed the arms. Once installed, the whole lounging experience in that new unexpected chair is just what it needed! Note: The install was a pain since the hole pattern is not even close, but I finally just attached the arms with a bunch of 4" wood screws and it's perfect <knowing that in advance will make the install easy and you will be stoked with your new chair.. I wanted to experience the couch in real life for a bit before I wrote this review. I'll start with receipt: item arrived quickly and as expected in three large cartons. No issues with the delivery. Assembly was fairly easy for the most part, with the exception of adding the back frames, which was difficult. The holes would NOT line up for me to attach and it was only with the help of a crowbar to move them into alignment that we (this was a 2-person job at this point!) were able to get them completed. Once fully assembled I was very happy with this VERY LARGE couch. I bought this without taking the full amount of time I should have to confirm the size and I was very nervous whether it was going to be too big for my space. As it turned out, it was perfect! It's large enough for multiple people to stretch out and relax and deep enough for two to lay together as well. But the 'deepness' of this couch is a double-edged sword. While it's comfy for laying down and lounging, it feels too deep for sitting and visiting. It's hard to just lean back and sit. The back cushions may be the reason for this. They are flat. Like really flat. I had hoped that after a day or so they would plump or fluff up but they do not. Definitely disappointed there. I've added quote a few throw pillows and they help but the issue remains. So overall -- I am giving this couch 4 stars. It's not bad for the price point and looks really nice in my living room. UPDATE : this couch was a torture trap however I was determined to get use from it. I removed the back feet (because it pitched forward) i replaced the back cushions with kingsize down pillows, but then the back was too low. The back is just a metal bar with fabric over it and the pillow slips through, no actual support! I went to the hardware store and purchased two pieces of plywood: 27x29”, then I covered them with the hard foam from the original cushions then I used a staple gun to upholster black micro fiber blanket (60x70”) cut in half, to the plywood which I attached with 4 med hinges to the base and inside the”killer” bar. (I do NOT recommend using micro fiber, but I made it work). The couch is now custom and deluxe in comfort and the upgrade was only $52 more! To think I actually considered throwing this in a land fill!! The plywood serves as back support as well as headrest! Yay me. This is a great interim couch. Pretty easy to put together, I could have used some help but I was able get it done myself. I like how versitile it is. You can divide it up or leave the arms off of either side. (Just have to disguise the holes on the sides with a throw blanket if you do). But it gives you more arrangement options throughout the yr. Also you can buy some deluxe throw pillows and disguise the quality. The one thing you really have to consider is it looks navy blue in the afternoon light and blk in the evening.
