Wow! I love these…but I had no idea they were painted or printed wood (the multicolored all over design); I honestly thought the colored design was fabric and that these were fabric covered boxes! They look like fabric in the pics online, and even in person. It wasn’t until I got them and removed them from the great and careful packaging that I touched them and was shocked that they were all wood. Even better, i thought, because they won’t get pilled or snag over time like fabric would. I also wasn’t expecting them to be so BIG! I mean, I saw the measurements, but the larger one is so much bigger then I imagined it would be…this isn’t necessarily a problem per se, but it does mean that I’ll have to find a different use for the larger one then I planned, which is fine. It looks as pictured and the woodwork is fine. HOWEVER THE TOXIC FUMES WERE UNBELIEVABLE. We aired it out to no avail. We removed the inside fabric and scrubbed down the inside, but the adhesive that was used had penetrated the entire inside wood. Its fumes were so strong that they had even penetrated the outer bottom wood of the box. There should absolutely be a warning in the description! We used bamboo charcoal deodorizers packs on the inside, too, and the fumes ruined them. Ultimately we had to THROW THE BOX OUT. Approx. $100 gone. The irony is that the interior fabric was extremely cheap looking while the exterior woodwork was very good. Will never buy from this company again. Zero stars.. Anonymous. Goodyear, AZ.
