This shelf looks beautiful, but installation was more difficult than expected. It was challenging to align and level the two wood pieces during assembly. I also don’t feel the base is sturdy enough to handle the pressure of a traditional pump hand soap dispenser. To avoid putting stress on it, I switched to an electric soap dispenser. I additionally secured the shelf with an extra screw underneath to prevent movement. While it may not be ideal for this specific purpose, it does look very nice once installed.. Lizandra. New Jersey. I have 4 of these! They are solid and well built. The paint is kind of a chalky black so I wiped it off and gave it 2 coats of satin spray sealer. Lightweight polyfoam sconce made a great indoor shelf. There was no mounting on the back to enable hanging however my husband drilled 2 keyholes in the back and hung it with 2 wall anchor screws to ensure it stays level. Because of the configuration of the master bedroom in my storey and a half house, I realized I couldnt put the mirror over the dresser. Underneath the mirror needed an added touch.
